Who are we….. There are people behind the scenes at Springetts Arcade who help bring you the most comfortable and elegant shopping experience in the Southern Highlands. With years of experience in business, the Springetts family has a long tradition within the Bowral business community. Now onto the third generation of Springett management, Tony Springett leads the team.

Ted Springett:

The founder and managing director of the Springett family business. Springetts re-located their business from Mittagong to Bowral in 1926. Ted is the lone survivor of this era of Springetts which included twin brothers Tony and Harry and younger brother Bob. Ted still comes into the office each day. On Saturdays and special occasions you will hear Ted tinkering the ivories (piano) on centre stage.

Dot Furphy: Assistant Manager

Dot got her first job with Ted when she finished her school certificate at age 15! She has now been with the Springetts for 29 years and is part of the family. Dot started before the Arcade extension in 1984 so has seen many changes and has enjoyed meeting many tenants over the years. Dot has been Assistant Manager now for several years and loves to be involved in all aspects of the Arcade.

Greg (PR) Manley:

Greg has been the friendly and approachable Arcade cleaner for over twenty years. He is always ready, willing and able to lend shoppers and tenants a hand and doesn't mind a little chat every now and then. This is a family affair and Greg gets his wife Di and sons to assist him in the seven day a week operation only to be rewarded with comments of how clean the Arcade is kept.
