Springett’s Arcade welcomes Bowral Yoga Studio to Gallery Level

It’s time to put that Downward Dog Pose into action as Springett’s Arcade welcomes Bowral Yoga Studio (BYS) to the Gallery Level (Suite E-sweetie).  Stay tuned for an offical opening……more to be announced!

Kate Pell brings her wildly successful yoga studio and team of excellent, qualified instructors from Boolwey Street to Suite E on the Gallery level in Springett’s Arcade.  The new home of BYS features an open plan space filled with natural light from the north facing windows and skylights of the arcade.  The studio is fully equipped with mats, blankets, bolsters, ropes, blocks and belts, to help all levels enjoy the clarity, calm and nourishment that comes from this conscious based movement practice.  The studio is carpeted with heating for the cooler months and air conditioning for warmer months.  The new space also features a second yoga room for smaller personal yoga consultations and classes.

Classes offered include Hatha (postures and simple breathing techniques), Raja (meditation), Jnana (philosophy), with new kids’ yoga classes and yoga for prenatal, depression, insomnia, anxiety and chair yoga for those who are less inclined to get on the floor. For those wanting to become a qualified Yoga Teacher (or simply for self-development) Kate offers registered Yoga teacher training courses on a yearly basis.  For a more intense or superbly relaxed experience chose from one of three two silent or the breathtaking beautiful Lady Elliot Island retreats offered in 2019.

“We are all so excited about the move. Everyone loved the original home of BYS above the countryman, but it’s time for change.”

Kate is so excited as the new space offers her the ability to practice her acupuncture and healing herbs, after gaining her Masters degree in Health Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2017.

“We will miss all the action that happens at the corner of Bong Bong/Boolwey Streets and it’s ever changing soundscapes. But if the ongoing beeps of the pedestrian crossing or the Saturday morning Harley Davidson day trippers didn’t quite help you relax then rest assured the Springette’s space will impress you.”

Kate Pell began her career in yoga in 1989 and has built her knowledge and expertise in the discipline over the past 30 years. She has owned and operated her own studio in the Southern Highlands since 2011 and is Level 3 Senior Yoga teacher. Kate is an active member of a Yoga Australia (peak body) and is presently dedicating her time working on a steering committee that hopes to implement more channels of mentoring for up and coming yoga teachers around Australia.

Kate regularly writes for Australian Yoga Life magazine and offers her teacher training interstate as well as locally.

Joining Kate are her team of instructors who have up to 100 years of combined experience that they bring to Bowral Yoga.

Beyond Yoga

Kate is a qualified Shiatsu therapist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor and is so happy to soon offer her specialised healing room for acupuncture and herbs.
