Head into Springett’s from 3-31 March 2025 and kids can fill out the ballot in person and put into the official entry barrel located next to the the aquarium.
Located in the Food Court, the Springett’s Aquarium has a long history in the arcade dating back to the original fish tank installed around 1948 in what was Springett’s Café located on Bong Bong Street. There were fish tanks on both the left and right-hand sides.
The second aquarium and teardrop fountain was opened in November 1984
when the arcade was extended. This was a great attraction to the arcade for locals and visitors alike. The Koi fish were an attraction to the young children who visited the arcade and became a “meeting” location for people.
The aquarium was relocated in 2012 within the arcade with a large screen television above and the floor was leveled to create a food court area with tables and chairs.
The current state-of-the-art aquarium was custom-made, shipped, installed, and launched in January 2021!
