My artwork is two of our local areas combined and both paces I like to go for a
nice walk. Lake Alexandra and a walk in Renwick close to where I live. The artwork also includes one of my hobbies, kayaking, and my favourite season Autumn just to represent me more in this artwork. You may also notice that in my artwork there are bubbles of colourless patches. This was to showcase my two favourite types of art which are sketching and just colouring with texters.

Fitzroy Falls
My artwork is a depiction of a waterfall at Fitzroy Falls. I started with a pale blue watercolour base on the whole paper, then applied various blue shades
with white highlight, to recreate the spectacular waterfall. I layered lots of greens to build up the tress and greenery using different techniques such as dobbing, dotting, and shading. The warmth and vibrancy of the reds and oranges of the rocks contrast with the cool blue waters allowing the water to pop. My artwork has been a slow process, but has allowed me ot exptress my artistic style and I loe te outcome! Art brings out the best in me and paired with my love of Fitzroy Falls and the beautiful surrounds brings a calmness and joy as I think about peaceful walks in our beautiful nature.

This colorful drawing captures the beauty of Southern Highlands and I put the
Sir Donald Bradman statue in the middle because, if there’s one thing that Southern Highlands has that is totally unique, it’s BRADMAN! The statue is surrounded by beautiful scenery, highlighting the region’s charm. The Tulip Festival in Bowral is also featured because it’s my favourite event every year. I love seeing all the colorful tulips and the big crowds of people smiling; it’s so much fun! I also drew myself cycling. I love to go cycling, especially in autumn when all the leaves are golden. That’s my favourite time of year. I’m really happy with how my drawing turned out because it shows all the things I love about the Southern Highlands.
Bronze 1- Linda Lemaich The Kings School Tudor House
My name is Linda I like to do quite a lot of things. My painting represents a
lot of my hobbies. I love to watch the sun settle into night. I quite enjoy stargazing while waiting for a shooting star. But the one thing I love most is doing and sharing m passions with loved ones. I also love to use paint in most of m work because my mum used to be a painter. So I’ve got all my talents of her.
Bronze 2 – Albert Hermann Oxley College
A gouache painted artwork that captures the essence of Bowral Pool and
Cherry Tree walk.
The magic of the Southern Highlands Community is captured in this scene of a school swimming carnival where teammates cheer as a house relay is taking place. Where champions are made and team spirit is embodied. Where brave kids race in the 50m pool for the first time and older swimmers cheer and inspire them on! It’s my most favourite place in the Southern Highlands and how luck we are to get to enjoy it.

TED SPRINGETT MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN
I painted the Ted Springett memorial fountain, found on the corner of Bong
Bong and Station Street, Bowral.
In my artwork, I’ve included the memorial, the tall green trees that line the streets, and the bright flowers in bloom.
This spot is special to me because it’s so beautiful and marks the start of our town. We gather here on ANZAC Day to remember, and whenever we return from the city, seeing the fountain makes me feel like I’m home.
